OK, here's a stupid newbie question.  What is a referral and how does it work?

The only stupid question is one that doesn't get asked. A referral means someone who joins because you sent them here with your special link found at the bottom of your account page. When that happens you get $1 for each one that validates their email address, $2 for each one that completes an offer and $5 every time they cash out. That has meant thousands of dollars in my pocket.
