.  So yesterday after I get my hair cut (which I think is two inches shorter than I would have liked it but I’m content with the way it looks) I go home and I’m looking like crazy for the belt clip cover for my 120GB Zune MP3 player.  It wasn’t actually for the 120GB it was for the 16GB I had before that which died on me but rather than get another belt clip for the 120gb I used the 16GB one which was the same height just fater so I was able to use it.  The last time I had the belt clip was when I flew to AZ for my grandmother Bea’s funeral back in jan.  I had emptied out the luggage upon my return home but I figured I just left it in there.  Turns out it wasn’t.  It wasn’t in the carryon I took nor in my purse.  My mother then tells me to just go to Best Buy and get another one.  So I go to the nearest Best Buy and they don’t even have any music players except a handful and no cases for any currently exsisting.  I go home extremely disappointed but understanding that with everything on your phone now who really needs extra stuff to carry around.  I go to Best Buy on line and they only have the latest Zune Player the HD one and for accessories it’s just a powerchord and shield protector.  I go to the Zune website thinking maybe they have something and they only have the same things best buy does.  Finally I jump on the last resort website I use Amazon.  They did have a hard case for $5 and a cheap leather one for $2.  For $20 they had a complete pack which included a armband, beltclip, speakers, wallcharger, usb cable etc.  I got all three knowing they were just trying to get rid of them.  I mean that multipack would have been atleast $120 when the player first came out.  And the first time I got the belt clip for my original zune it was no less than $60.  Again I know it’s more convienit to have everything on your phone it just makes me sad to think of how fast everything moves in as little as 5years.  I mean I had a fight with a guy over a laptop once at Best Buy because my laptop was only 2years old and he called it old.  And my printer.  A sales person told me if I have it working for 5years I’m lucky.

Funny, but very true!  New technology, in with the new out with the old.

You are right. My laptop is 2 years old and I am tired of carrying around so I am considering one of the new phones that will allow me to surf the web on the go. :)

I don't like having all the technology on my phone. I much prefer being able to have a phone for calling and texting (and maybe a few games every now and then) and a separate music player. I still have an old iPod, the big thick ones with the transparent case, that I use all the time. Like you said, it's crazy how fast things change. I feel like I am always way behind the technology curve, but oh well.

I'm pretty slow to upgrade. If something still works I hate to change. I still use a Moto Razr and I'm typing this using an eMachine I totally rebuilt. (Same hd, keyboard and case). I still like to wear original 501's and watch a tv I inherited in 1999.

The reason why technology changes so fast is because people are stupid enough to fall for every new gadget that comes along. They get rid of perfectly good stuff just to get the latest fad. Just because it's newer doesn't mean its better. And when you rely on one piece of equipment for everything, what happens when it fails? Then you're lost without anything until you get a new one.

I think digital cameras are going the same way.  Seems like I grab my iphone more often than my camera to take a picture.  Just as a side note here....I heard on last nights news that Best Buy is closing some stores.  They didn't mention which states.
