Nasty Neighbors

What do you do when you have not-so-clean neighbors whose filthy surrounding bother you?

I don't know how long you have lived where you do, but if that is the way it was when you moved in, you may have a problem. but if they moved in after you did. be polite and ask them to clean up some or hide it. I have a little problem where we live, but i am going to start cleaning up some of their stuff this summer or anyway when it warms up, but won't do it while they are gone. I am going to do it when they are home. Maybe they will get the idea. Some of it is on my property line. Nothing like making them feel a little guilty. Have another one across the street.He has cleaned up some. I call him my cheap entertainment , when i do he gets busy.

    I had neighbors like that once and it was B*A*D.  Check into calling your town hall and see if putting in a complaint would help (some cities have ordinances and will issue citations/fines and make people clean up "eyesores" once someone puts in a complaint).   If it's too many pets/and or they aren't cleaning up after them and there's a smell, call animal control asap so they can get the poor pets out of there.  
     My neighbors eventually moved out when they could no longer afford their rent.  They had had their utilities shut off a few months prior and had been illegally using mine.  They moved in a hurry and left their mess.  It was so awful...I didn't think the landlord would ever get the house to be livable for anyone again.  They were so lazy, it looked like they didn't take their trash out (or even bother to put it into a trashbag) the entire time they lived there.  There was over thirty wild mice running loose in the place.

I don't have nasty neighbors, so I don't know what to tell you.  I sometimes think about what if I buy a house and I do have nasty neighbors, then I'm just stuck with them...that would totally suck.. I'm just renting right now.  They should let you live in the house for a week lol and see if you liek your neighbors before you move in.

If they had moved in after I did, I would let them know right up front that they need to "Clean up their act" cause its not hygienic if that didn't work I would def. contact the land lord just to make sure they were aware of the situation as well. In my last apartment building I lived in most all the other units were filled with disgusting people that didn't know how to clean, it got to the point that there was black mold growing threw-out the building so I made the choice to move after 3 years of trying my best to keep up with the cleanliness of my own unit.

We bought our house ten years ago and loved the neighbors. We picked a neighborhood that was considerably mor expensive in hopes of avoiding people who don't care about their hous.  Our neighbors to the north had a software break through and moved into a much more expensive home and kept the one next to us as a rental.  They rent it out for two years at a time and we have seen three different renters.  All three have had nasty little children that leave their toys on our lawn (we have well behaved, respectful children ourselves). The latest renters were leaving their garbage cans out until the land lord received notice that he was going to be charged $750.00 from the homeowners association if he didn't keep his tenants in check.

I have a neighbor who's just downright evil but she's not dirty in a stinky way.

i dont know what you can do about that but they are adults and dont nee to be living like that. i would report it to Hoarders and watch them on tv

We live in a neighboorhood that excepts housing so therefore we deal with it alot. The owner is souppose to keep a handle on it but doesn't do a good job at that. We just hope that they will feel guilty by seeing others yards and house looking better. Good luck!!!!!

I had this situation and worse. My advice to you is to save your money and move away. No amount of posturing will change people like this. Don't throw away your precious energy trying to reason with them. People like this are disgusting and have low morals. They have shown you that,  because they don't care if they make other people sick with that filth. Don't waste your time, just go and this time even if it costs more don't move around dirty people like that.
