i don't think there's a magic age-I think it's more a mental age. Whenever you are responsible enough to accept that your life is no longer your own and are willing to give up for your child-you are mature enough to handle the responsibilities of becoming a parent.

we are 25/31 and we got pregnant around maybe late nov and we didn't find out til dec 15 and on new years eve she went to the ER about heavy bleeding. They did 2 ultrasounds and told her that her hormone levels were at 3300 and by that time they should be able to see something in the uterus but they didn't. they labeled it as a threatened miscarriage. we went for 2 more ultrasounds and still nothing. the dr. was dumbfounded and thought it was an etopical pregnancy..meaning it could be in a tube of hers or outside of the uterus which, if that was true then either way it would have to be aborted to prevent any harm to her. The Dr. talked about going in through her belly button and look around so see if they can find anything. She said NO and they she wanted to do more bloodwork to monitor the hormones. Her hormones went up to 6700 and  then dropped to 3880 the last time she did blood work. The dr. now says she had a "normal" pregnancy and it didn't take so it was an official miscarriage. Even though she didnt see anything in the uterus in all of the 4 ultrasounds she still wanted to do a DNC because the Dr. says the hormones are not dropping fast enough. My fiance didn't feel like she needed it, and she was having second thoughts. She constantly was fighting with herself about having it done or not. Yes, she was scared. Several people told her that there is nothing to be a afraid of but still thought about how the DR. didn't see anything in the uterus and therefor, she didn't think she needed the DNC so, she didn't go. The dr. did tell us that we can try again in about 2-3 months to get her back on her cycle. SO, that's what we're gonna do.

When you are old enough to

1.  Support yourself and a child
2.  Mentally capable to handle living months at a time with virtually no sleep.
3.  At least old enough to vote
4.  Be married or with someone who you see a future with.
5.  When your maturaty is higher than your hormone level.
6.  When you can think of others before yourself completely.
7.  When you can drive your child to school instead of them sitting next to you on the bus!!!   ( see # 3 )
8.  When you have really sat down and thought of what you're giving up, and what you're gaining.
9.  When you finally reach the age to realize Momma does sometimes know what's best.
10. When you feel you are ready!

I also think a couple should wait a year or two before becoming pregnant.  Marriage is a big change and you need that time for adjustment, and some fun, before the kids come.  I have one daughter who waited five years - she says it was probably too long as her husband got too used to his fun things.

I think it depends on the person..immaturity, financial situation, etc.

there is really no appropiate age you just have to be ready and willing to take on the jobof being a full time mommy. Also make sure you are mature enough, I had a little baby boy at 17 and i was not expecting for that to happen but it did. But i thought when i was pregnant that i wasnot ready and i could not do it but guess what i knew everything that i needed to know without doing anythin it just came to me right now he is 2 yearsold and i have no help from anybody except maybe my mom. which we live miles apart from eachother. I don't regret having him until this day he is my baby and he is my world i love him wth all my heart im so glad i did nt go for an abortion i lnow i would of regetad it so much. HOPE I WAS OF SOME KIND OF HELP GOOD LUCK! :angel12:

I think any age after a person reaches legal age is an appropriate age to have children, as long as they're ready for the commitment and want them.
