I don't think stores ordered as much this year, as I didn't really see much out there!

I didn't notice there being a large amount of Christmas stuff at the stores that I visited. I think they may not have had quite as much this year.

i agree with everyone else, i definitely think stores have
cut back on how much christmas they buy in bulk,
which is probably smart on their part. the time and man-
power it takes to inventory all the leftovers, box them
up, and store them isn't usually worth the hassle.

too bad for us though! i love after christmas sales.
didn't really find too much this year, other than some
nice ornaments and wreath supplies.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

Well, I did shop online this year. My laptop died just before Christmas, so I replaced it for just under $400, atleast once the rebate shows up.

You can find me on Youtube!

I did not go shopping after Christmas until the 28th. Everything was GONE. There was even very little wrapping paper left. I have to make sure to go earlier next year.

There's next to nothing in stores near me.  When I was shopping a Walmart near my house, trying to get Christmas stationery for my annual letter to relatives, one of the associates told me they hardly got any Christmas stock this year compared with previous years.  I didn't find any store in my area with Christmas stationery (including card shops like Hallmark), so I ended up searching the web for a Word doc template.  Just wasn't the same.   :(

I only went to a few places, but found about the same as everyone else is saying.  I did get a few good chocolate and other candies at Walgreen's for 50 percent off.

i went to kmart and had a horrible experience! I am sure i drove the cashier nuts, but i was so annoyed.
I went to the christmas section and there were signs all over. some said 50% off and some 75% off, and both said Christmas items, so it was impossible to tell if there were certain items that were one or the other... that was my first annoyance.
i picked out mostly candy that was OBVIOUSLY christmas candy (reds, and grees, etc.) AND on the christmas aisles. I also picked out evergreen, vanilla, and cinnamon candles from the same christmas aisle. So I get to the checkout and not only were they not 75% off, but they were not 50% either! Every item (4 candles, 3 candies) wrang up full price. each time i was like "What?". i should have asked for the manager but just wanted to get out of there at the point.  :BangHead:

I haven't really been impressed by the sales this year. So I got the staples, wrapping paper, greeting cars, etc. You can't go wrong with stocking up on that stuff.

the only things i picked up were candy but i have been starting to pick up a few of the kids winter clothes that they are marking down. Great way to prepare for next year. My kids already have spring/ summer clothes/shoes stashed away that i caught really cheap during the end of summer clearance. I like to stay ahead.
