Parents valuing boys over girls.... what do you think?

Well, i don't know about parents valuing boys over girls, because my parents had two boys. However, I do notice that my mom can't be happy and get along with both of her sons at the same times. She either hates my brother and loves me or hates me and loves my brother. I don't know if anybody elses parents are like mine.

Each child is precious beyond what I can communicate. I cannot say how much my heart goes out to people who experience what is to me horrible and abusive. People do not know what it does to a child who is in effect negated, practically made a non-entity by these archaic practices. It effects everything about the person's self worth. A child must be valued and loved and nurtured to thrive. To live without the most basic affections from a parent is horrible and painful. Cultural or not this is child abuse and must be stamped out. All children must be valued because all children are valuable.
