Start a New Topic Suggestion
« on: December 22, 2011, 06:57:40 am »
When you click on start a new topic, there should be a question asking which thread to post the topic to. I have noticed that many people post topics in the wrong thread and I have figure out why. When they reply to someone, they stay in the thread where where the response was posted. They decide they want to start a new topic and they just click "start a new topic" without going to the correct thread. This causes them to post a topic in the wrong thread. It would be nice if we had a choice of where to post the topics. Hopefully, it would make it less confusing for some people who obviously just don't get how to use a forum and are not trying to learn. And easier for the rest of us, so we don't have to sift through a whole bunch of off-topic posts to see which offers someone is posting or to find someone that needs support.

That's a great idea. I hope that is possible, without messing up the whole posting process. I find it annoying when people post in the wrong part of the forum.

I like this idea also.  Anything that would help people get their posts in the right section would be good

Great idea. Perhaps you could direct it to the forum folks under a support ticket. I don't spend anytime being annoyed by things as small as people posting in the wrong place. Too much great stuff to pay attention to in life to give up a second of my time being annoyed about anything so small. I do like the suggestion of making it easier for folks who don't know the process though. Good topic and nice opportunity to make the process better!
