coupons are usually given when you just submit an information. Not sure if it was this gpt site but there was an offer I took where I had just entered my personal info and a company gave me a free coupon to go eat at a place. They even gave me the options to print it too...

As for samples I dont really know.

I've just started using coupons most recently.  I still haven't gotten to the point where I am saving 50%+ on my groceries, however.  I've been going to many different coupon blogs to learn  The key is to match the sales with the coupons you have.  I buy multiple papers and it has been worth it, although it is very time consuming.  Good luck to your learning.
