Honestly, I feell like the majority of people are not interested in the NBA lockout.  Everyone was concerned with potentially missing NFL games but very little chatter has been made about the NBA.  Probably shows the state of affairs and interest level in basketball at the moment.

I miss the NBA a little, but to be honest, like mattc4000 said, I don't think the majority of people miss it right now.  For the most part, the first few months of the NBA season is done in the shadows.  The NFL and college football are dominating the sports culture.  I've always felt the NBA's real opening day was Christmas day.  It really has become their showcase day, outside of the playoffs.  Then, it kind of gets put on the back burner again until February.  The truth is, the NBA and NHL are really playoff driven leagues.  The general sports fan's interest doesn't seem to pique until then, unlike the NFL and a much lesser extent, MLB.

Should the NBA lose their Christmas games this year, you probably will not see a season until fall of next year.  I don't see Stern continuing to negotiate after for quite some time.

Well it's back december so at least it's some of the season saved. 66 is better than 50 the last time there was a problem.

Is going to be back on xmas day to april.  It's going to be a short season.  Some nba players are already playing overseas during the lockout.

I have not missed it one bit. I think college basketball is more true to the actual team game and much more fun to watch. NBA is all about show-off stars just getting a paycheck. Just look at all the rules that have changed purely to make it more "entertaining". In my mind, that ruins the integrity of the game. The only good thing about having the season back on is it will help the economy in those cities with teams and the behind-the-scenes workers who make it all possible.

I guess I am glad it is back.  Not that big of a fan until playoffs though.

True fans of the NBA and basketball are happy to see this lockout over and the season starting on christmas, i'll be watching for sure.

I'm sorry but college level basketball is also not interesting until march madness, & for the people that say the NBA lost fans, well those people were never fans to begin with. They're just bandwagon, fairweather fans who wear the jerseys but couldn't name more than 1 person on their team. Good riddance, go do facebook or something.

Who cares about the NFL, its just a bunch of guys and older guys like Brett farve running around pushin people over to go jump on the other guy in strange and unusal ways. I like the NBA, im glad its back, it will be fun to watch the triple header on christmas day. Unless the Blazers play, ill be watching that game instead
