pierced ears

My vote would be to wait until they are teens and want to have them done.  I was an adult when mine were done and I only did it because my ear lobes are very small and I had problems wearing some earrings.

I think at the age of 13 is okay for them to get there ears pierced.

I left it up to my daughter as to whether she wanted her ears pierced.  Now she has a navel ring and 3 piercings in each ear.  Her decision.

I feel like getting your ears pierced should be your choice and no one else's. After all, they are YOUR ears and NO ONE else's. Children should be allowed to decide if they want to have it done, which means being old enough to make the decision. I suppose if your 6 year old was really interested in having it done, and if it's ok with you, then go right ahead as long as the child is making the choice for themselves. My mother never had any of her children's ears pierced forcibly, we were all allowed to do so when/if we wanted to.
