Most news is not news, but opinions from talking heads.  I generally go online for all my news.  All news is slanted in some way of course, so you need to be aware of the leanings of the source in general (liberal or conservative).

I would HATE to live in a country without news!  One must stay informed on what's going on in the world!

I haven't watched the news in years, only time I watch local tv is for sports or certain shows. I get all my news from my cell phone.

I usually don't watch the news, but read it online. The local news always has such cheesy stories and a lot of the national channels can be so biased.

I like the good that comes from news and dislike much of the bad things but for the most part I feel the news does help to keep us aware of our surroundings. For that we should appreciate the news, despite what we may like and dislike as individuals.

I watch it almost every day and read it online sometimes. I know we need to know what's going on in the world but sometimes I wish they wouldn't show so much. I hated seeing those dead animals yesterday. I would have rather just took their word for it but thats just me.
