Like with any protest, the media is always drawn to the fringe. No matter if it's something like Occupy Wall Street or a Tea Party protest, the cameras always seem to pass by anyone speaking rationally and focus on the kooks.   It seems like coverage got slightly better over the weekend, but it took two weeks for them to get there.

My friend please read http://www.goldstockbull.com/articles/7-demands-from-occupy-wall-street/.  It has nothing to do with hype!  In this article it states that: "It is clear to most Americans, if not the full 99%, that the government has been corrupted, bought off and is no longer working in the interest of the people they are supposed to be representing."  This article clearly goes over the seven demands from OWS and why!  Find out what's going on!

I support it 100%. No real change has ever been accomplished without citizen involvement in protests, demonstrations or marches. Read a little American history if you doubt this. We would still have child labor, extravagant hours for little pay, unsafe working conditions etc. without citizen protest.
The thing is this is a grassroots movement which the media and many others simply can't or refuse to understand. This movement does not need MSM at all. Social media is their communication with us--check out UStream coverage of various locations around the country and world. This is not a lark. It is an effort to change the inequality of our system which allows 1% of the population to control the economy/riches while the 99% are left with various levels of existence. If you don't see something wrong with that, you are missing one of the biggest issues in our country.
This movement is apolitical though there are some which would love to co-opt it for their own benefit--again mistaking this movement. There are organizations who have planted provocateurs amongst the demonstrators in an effort to instigate violence and thus discredit the movement.
As for the police involvement we must remember that Homeland Security and banks have given untold money to 're-train' and supply police departments all over the country to attempt to control us and of course, defend us from 'terrorists'. The result is what MSM gladly shows you.
There are some who because of their narrow, prejudiced and dumbed-down condition who will never 'get' what is happening. But I beg you, educate yourselves, pay attention!

Just watching and listening to these people at the OWS events makes me embarrassed to be the same species.  Some of the things they do are what you expect of very young children with bad manners.  The degree of crime, sexual assaults and rapes, and drug use is disproportionately higher at these events than anywhere else and the fact that they coerce there own not to report such reveals quite a bit more about their nature.

I do think the so called 99% is actually made up of some of the worst of the 46% that don't pay taxes along with a few that are prone to blame others and also some that behave as sheep.  Regardless count me in the 53% and counter to this OWS movement.  I am all for protests and free speech, but rape is not free speech and even most liberals/progressives would admit that...

Begrudging the richest one percent seems a bit silly to me and camping out at courthouses/wallstreet doesn't make a lot of sense.  I honestly don't think that they know why they are out there.  We have an attorney in our city who is taking off to protest and stands a chance at losing the opportunity to become a partner! Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand, should be read by all of these people...if penalizing the rich is their ultimate aim.  I am surprised that I agree with Abrupt on this one.  Kudos to you!
