What Do you think of the President's address being shown at school?

On the president's address to the kids in school.  It really should have been up to the parent's whether they wanted their kids to see the video or not.  It should not have been mandatory,which in some elementary schools it was, and I am not putting down the Pres, but why couldn't he have done this on public TV and let the whole of the US see it instead of taking time away from the kids' school work?  I have nothing against him doing it, I just think it should have been better thought out.
