Car Problem
« on: July 09, 2011, 08:14:12 pm »
My right rear tire sounds like it is rubbing metal on metal, anyone have any ideas what it could be? I am thinking something with the brakes.

I wish I could help you but, I don't have much mechanic knowledge. I just know the basics of taking care of my vehicle. I'm thinking its time for new brake pads. I could be wrong as well.

It really sounds like you need to replace the brakes and bleed the brake line. It you don't change your brakes the metal rubbing metal will wrope you rotters and than you will have to have them turned or buy new ones.  I hope this has helped you.

If you do not get the brake checked soon it will cost you a lot of money.

I just asked my husband he said it is your brakes rubbing metal against metal.  Even if it is just the one right rear brake you need to replace them both so that it is even.  My husband is really good with cars and he thinks that is what you are hearing, I hope this helps.

Thanks everyone - it was the brakes. Fortunately they did not have to replace the brake drums. I can stop again and no noise.
