Do you think the government should step in? What about your kids and how easy it is to get pornography on the internet. Do you think the government should have something in play where they could not access it. Regular TV usually doesn't show what they can get on the internet, should we have regulations on what people can put on internet?

No.  Parents need to monitor their kids, not the government.  Same thing with TV, video games, and music.  It's possible to set up security blocks limiting access on the internet to specific sites at specific times of the day if one can't be there with their kids.  If the kids need to access something different from their normal repertoire of sites, then they need to ask their parent to access it for them.

And if you don't want your kids on the internet when you aren't there, take away the connection when you go somewhere.  If a parent is worried about what there kids should access, then maybe they should put the blame where it belongs:  the kids who disobey their parent's instructions and whom they apparently can't trust.  You have to seek out *bleep*; general searches are not normally going to give you *bleep* sites.  Now if you start doing questionable things like downloading torrents, then *bleep* will start popping up.

The government has no business regulating the internet, because it belongs to the people, not them!

Absolutely not.  The government has no business regulating or legislating the content of the internet.  As for what a child sees or does not see that is the responsibility of the parents not the government.  But try not to worry too much I am sure the government is at this very moment looking at ways to tax your usage of the internet.

NO, WE SHOULDN'T.  Move to China if you want that.  lol

In all seriousness, part of what makes our country great is the freedom we have.  That's the parents' fault if their kids are looking at things on the home computer that they shouldn't be.
