Do you get along with you In-laws?
« on: June 16, 2011, 10:10:00 am »
When I first met my in-laws we got along just fine. When my husband and I got married. They turned evil. Jealous of our relationship, want to control our lives and how we do things. When they disagree  about something. They tell my husband and always starting up little small fires in our marriage. They are a trip. Their so jealous. Why does in-laws feel that you maaried them too?

Ugh, I'm sorry @mrstina08, that sounds really hard. I can't imagine it.

My inlaws are amazing. I'm very lucky.

After 31 years, I think I have became more favored over some blood relatives.  Have always been blessed with a wonderful in-law family and its ever growing extensions.
Have a wonderful day!

First set of inlaws were great.  Second mother-in-law not so great.  She wanted her son to be eclusive to her and was very jealous when we did things or sent somewhere.  He took her shopping every week and we did do things for her, but it was never enough.

My boyfriend's parents are kinda crazy - so I get along okay but try to keep contact to a minimum.

I, unfortunately never got to meet my first hubby's mother.  His step-dad was messed up in the head.  Went to school with his sister also and really still like her. :)  My second ex's parents are wonderful!  Really loved them and miss them all the time!  Really like his sister also, but alas all of them are out west and pretty much avoid me now. :(

I loved both myex- mother in law and father in law, may they rest in peace, and I am still long distace friends whit my sister's in law, even though I can not stand my ex-neither can many of them. On the other side of the coin I like my present son -in law/I think we get along well/ put up with older daughters husband- and he put up with me- and the younger ones ex I could not stand, -he hurt my babies-both my daughter and grand daughters- and that is one sure way to turn me into the mom-in -law from He**. One suggestion to the ones that say they married the man (or Woman)  not the family- give it a try with the extended family- you may have a not so hidden blessing there.
