what is wrong with this world today?

Why is it that people always go through so much and suppose to be a good friend but dont want to talk about it and wont pick up the phone to talk about it can someone explain.

I think most people are too self involved.  Most just do not think about other people's problems, pain, etc.  It's easier to ignore them than to try to comfort or help others.  I hope whatever you are going through gets better.

I dont know if you pray but if you pray on the situation and ask God for insight on both sides of the issue you may find resolution.

I had received a forward awhile back, about people being in your life for a reason, season or lifetime. In addition to praying cause I agree w/noirlupe, it helps, maybe you should look at your friendship like that. I don't quite remember all of it but it went something like this, Reason friends meet a need you expressed, Season friends are there during the time you need to share, grow, learn and Lifetime friends teach you lessons that may be hard but you love them anyway

So Far this discussion is way over my head! But in answer to your quesion (What is wrong with this world today?) Everyone can tell you whats wrong with this world today but everyone can't tell you how to fix it!

I know what you mean, A lot of my friends quit talking to me after I lost my job. And I have been going through a tough time and somedays I wonder if I can go another day, but they always call me when they are having problems. I finally decided maybe I need some new friends.    Now I have a friend in the same situation as me and we support each other in our job-hunting.
