getting credits to account
« on: May 18, 2011, 07:30:14 am »
I spent last night turning off pop up blockers, and asking my computer to allow fushion cash to not be blocked. However, my surcurity progam is from the government, and I can only turn of the firewall. I hope that is all I need to do. Wish me luck!!!!

What security system do you have (from the government)?

I have both Norton Security (2011) on my desktop and MacAfee on my laptop (2011).  Generally don't have problems with pop-ups because I have my pop-up blocker on all the time.   Most of the PTC sites that I visit would drown me in pop-ups if I didn't.

I don't do regular offers on FC, so the fact that I have my pop-up blocker on doesn't seem to be a problem for the dailys that I do on FC.  (Except occasionally a survey site will tell me I need to turn off my pop-up blocker -- then I do that until the survey is completed.)

When doing a survey on FC, be sure to clear your cookies and temp before you start with a given survey company.  Not sure why that helps, but it does. ( It is imperitive that you clear your cookies and temp every time you try for a regular offer.)  Plus you should keep the congrads window (that you get when you have completed a survey) open for 5-10 minutes -- or until you see the credit on your account page.
I usually have my account page open in another tab so I can refresh it periodically to see when the credit has come through.

If it doesn't come through in 10 minutes, take a screen shot of the congrads page, bring up your PAINT software and paste the screen shot onto Paint; add some info on the page to identify (when, who, what how much  - I use the "pencil ") the survey and then save it as a jpeg picture to your shared pictures library.

Why do you save your offers that don't qualify. I just jot them down so I don't go there again or I list it on the forum to see if someone else has had the same problem.

When I was doing offers, I kept a record of all the offers I applied for and noted when the offer was credited.  Since you can not supposed to do offers a 2nd time, even if they don't credit, it was the only way that I could keep track of what I was doing.  (I was working several GPT sites at the time and I had to make sure I wasn't doing the same offer on another site.)

It got a bit cumbersome -- plus I was too frequently not getting credit -- so I stopped doing regular offers.  My memory is not bad, but I didn't want to rely on it to figure out whether I had tried  "that offer" before.

Some folks set up separate email address for each offer (??!!) so they could get track of the notifications from the offer as well as provide a unique email for the advertiser.   I have enough keeping track of 2 emails much less 50 so I stick with the dailys.

I do not save the offers I don't qualify for, I investigate the companies that I believe will hire me to work for them.
I investicate 1 to 3 companys a day. I filled out one survey, and now they send me email. I will delet the job leads they give after I have inverstigated them. Like you I am keeping a record by way of my excel program.

I have NIS 2011 and agree that it doesn't allow me to turn anything off.  But I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to block pop-ups and only blocks sites that it thinks will be dangerous to my PC.

I use the operating systems pop-up blocker -- that doesn't seem to affect getting any of the FC ads to show up, but it does block most of the pop-ups that come thru my PTC sites.  Occasionally, I will get a survey that requests that I turn off my pop-up blocker and then I do that.  Otherwise, I just let it stay active.

I use to have toolbars -- google for one -- that had it's own pop-up blocker in it.  Finally removed it. Was too much of a bother and toolbars take up needed space on the webpage.

Re saving offers that you don't get credit for:  I kept a record of those too because you are not "allowed" to try them again -- or if you try you still won't get credit.  Once they have your email address, they assume you've tried before.  Too make it even more difficult, the sites may change names and you can't tell whether you've done an offer for it in the past -- but if they already have your email address in their records -- it's no credit for you.  Probably one reason why people use new email addresses on new offers.
