:'(

I just found out that one of the most influential teachers I've had in my life has died of breast cancer. She was the best teacher ever and I will carry her words of wisdom with me everywhere I go. I remember one day she gave me and the rest of the class an art assignment. We had to draw a human face. I was struggling to draw this picture until I finally gave up on myself. She came over to me and she said "Don't ever say you can't, you can do this it is possible, I believe and I have faith that you can draw." I looked at her and asked "You think so?" She said, "eliminate the words I can't from your vocabulary and I know you can do this." From then on, her words became my life motto. Because of her, I have never given up on myself. I will always love her and remember her for that. Thank you Ms. Seretny. May you RIP. Heaven has gained an angel.  :angel11:

I also remember a couple of my teachers. I had a homeroom teacher that had the most vibrant red hair, and she wore bright red lipstick. She was always cracking jokes, and her favorite words were "belligerent" and "uncouth". She could use those 2 words in so many ways, that we would howl with laughter. I can still see her in my mind.

I had an American Lit teacher. Mr. Chan. I was failing the class, and cut whenever possible. I had transferred from another school and loved my American Lit teacher there, and transferred with an A average. Mr. Chan cornered me one day and asked me what he could do to make the class as interesting as the other class I had transferred from. Even if it meant doing something different than the rest of the class. It touched me that he was willing to go that extra mile for a student who was obviously unhappy in a new school.
