The egg white contains most of the protein, the yolk contains the egg's fat and cholesterol. Although I believe that both have protein, the egg white contains the majority of the egg's protein and is healthier to eat.

the egg yolk has no protein -- it contains fat and vitamins
the egg white has the best source of protein
