is this something i am going to have to file with my taxes?

im pretty sure, but correct me if im wrong, you wont have to file anything until your total recieved reaches around 600$ in a year.
if yours does, check for exact numbers, but im pretty sure its around 600$. :]

you will have to fill out a w9 if you earn more then $600 in a year... jan - dec. might be $500 here not 100% on that. but the form only takes about 2 minutes to fill out. also if you think your gonna hit or go over 600 in the year your best to start saving like 30 bucks or more a month so you have the money to pay the taxes in jan. if you earn just 600 then your taxes might be like 150-300 if all depends on you and your dependents and so on.
and this is 600earned not recieved. so it don't matter if you hit 600 and don't cash it out you still have to fill out the w9.
