Posting in Forum Question
« on: April 15, 2011, 03:24:00 pm »
I have 37 eligible posts for April.  I was reviewing them.  At the bottom of most of the posts, on the right hand side, is a Respond Box and a Quote Box.  But about three of the posts have an additional box.  This box says "Remove" and there is a red X on the left hand side of the box.  Has anyone else noticed this same box on any of their postings?  And can anyone explain it to me.   :dontknow:

Your question raised my curiosity so I just went to review my forum posts.

I have two posts for April with that additional Remove box on them.

I don't think either of the posts have any violations in them.  I tried the Remove button to remove my own post just in case.  I got an error message:  You cannot delete your own topics in this board.

So I modified my post.

Anything with the Remove/X means it is a topic that you started. We used to be able to remove threads/topics we had started (by clicking the Remove/X), but someone did that with a LOT of their's and the function was taken away from us by Admin because it was also deleting all posts made by others and taking their post count down. Hope this solves your mystery. ;)

You're welcome, just glad I could help you. Don't we all need help at times and not just on FC?! ;D

I thank you to jordandog for clearing up the mystery of the Red X/Remove box on my posts.  The Forum is awesome for getting help.  This is just one example of proof of that!
