never hate

ive heard a lot of teenagers now days saying they hate their parents and how they wish they didnt have any parents so they could do what they want. you never know how hard life is until exactly that happens. I'm 19 years old. my mother passed away when i was 8. my great aunt took custody of me and i was not allowed to be around my father after a certain time of night (aunts rule). the only time i got to see my father was on the week ends but only during the day. when i was about 12 or 13 my father moved out of state with out saying anything to anyone. my father was gone till i was 17. when i was 17 i decided to move with my father. i lived with my father for a year and 3 months then he got killed on his way to work one morning. so at 19 years old i have no parents and have not really had parents throughout my life. and when i hear someone say they hate their parents it makes me sick cuz you never know how good your parents are you untill they arent there anymore to help you. respect your parents and appraite them while you can because once they're gone your going to wish they were still here to help you through all your rough times no one else could. your parents should be your best friends.

I'm sorry all that happened to you. I'm sure that would give me such an outlook also. Not all parents are deserving of such respect though. I also hate to hear kids say they hate their parents. Most of the time it's just spoiled teenage BS.
I have also met parents that deserve all the loathing their kid could direct their way. A good Mom or Dad is irreplaceable, but sometimes kids are better off with none if the parents are worthless or hateful.
I hope you have good friends to rely on. Sometimes they can be your family. And you get to choose them. I hope things look up for you.
