Sprout channel
« on: February 07, 2011, 11:30:24 am »
I don't have kids but I have nephews, and they enjoy watching Sprout. I've seen some of the shows they have and they are the decent ones for kids like Kipper and Cailiou. None of the dumb stuff which you can find of Nickelodeon. If you're a parent, you can give them the date to your child's birthday and they will tell them happy birthday on the air.

Have you heard of Sprout? What do you think about this channel?

     SPROUT!!!!!

I think that the programming that they have is fantastic for preschool-aged children and love that their programs aren't geared more towards adults. Many of the cartoons that I see these days have this running undercurrent of adult humor and I don't like that at all.

We haven't been watching it as much lately because they changed the line up and my son's fav shows are not on at a good time for us but he will still watch it occasionally especially the Goodnight Show if the Discovery Channel isn't playing How It's Made. He loves that show for some reason.

My kids like it.  I agree that some of the other shows are geared towards adults.  I won't let them watch alot of what's on nick and disney.

We unfortunately don't get Sprout channel anymore.  Our cable company redid the channels that came in our package, and Sprout missed the cut!  I was so disappointed, because my kids loved the shows on there.  But, if you don't like Disney or Nick, and you can't get Sprout, HUB (formerly Discovery Kids) is also excellent and it's family friendly programming all the time.
