This has always been a controversial and sometimes a difficult topic to discuss.  However, bi-racial couples have been partnering for a very long time.  It seems to be more noticeable and controversial in the United States.  In mostly all races there is a bi-racial couple (s).  I have been in some worthwhile discussions on this subject several times.  From my perspective, I see the more advantages than disadvantages.  As a matter of fact, diversity can be more of a positive depending on who has a good grip on the understanding of diversity and the humaness that it has as well.

You are making the subject too intellectual. Don't put so much thought into it. That is what most peoples problems is with biracial relationships. Race should not even be an issue in a relationship. But since you are asking for opinions I will give you mine. I am like most people, I have opinions but they are just that. MY opinions. The advantages are being able to learn about another persons cultures, religions and upbringing etc. I can only think of one disadvantage. Even in today's society the world is full of close minded people that just see the differences when they look at people. I don't believe that will ever change. I am good with any relationship as long as they are for the right reasons. And by that I mean love. I am going to go out on a limb and sound like a 60s hippie, but  LOVE  is what makes the world go around.

The only disadvantage to a bi-racial marriage is the people oin society who still have bias in their hearts, and cant get pass skin color.

i don't think it's as big a deal as some people make it out to be.  if you love someone, who cares about color or race??

I believe that skin color is completely irrelevant.  If I were young, I would want to marry someone of my own race so my children would have a better chance of looking like me.  Just being real here.  What other people do is none of my concern.
