Marriage well i am going to be 10 months on the 14th and honestly its harder than most people would like to say. We all learn how to grow together through the hard times and you are always tested on how strong your love truely is, and that is when the true beauty is shown through the both of you two. I say this through my experience and I am glad to say I am married with the one I love.

We have attended classes that are required through our church and we still have 2 more to attend. He has a child....WHO I LOVE and we have discussed how many children of our own we want and how we want to raise them.  We are currently living together to help with the child's situation, so we have had our discussion on everything.

We had a discussion last night about making sure that we are always saying I love you before hanging up the phone, before bed and when we are away for long periods of time.  We never go to bed mad at each other because you never know what will happen, the last thing I say to him i don't want to regret.

this sounds good.  Just need to know that when you say you have discussed "everything" -- there will be something that still comes up later on.  Just be willing to bring it to the table and talk about it.  you also have to be willing to listen.

Think about it this way...the same way you feel about others' wedding is probably the same way people will feel about your wedding.  Less is always more.  Why not keep it really simple on the wedding expenses and use the saved cash to enjoy an extra sweet honeymoon.  Why spend all that time and money putting on a major celebration for everyone else to enjoy.  Enjoy yourselves more, away from everyone.

Don't go into debt for your wedding, it's just a day.

Prepare for your marriage though, it's a life long commitment and should be treated as such.
One piece of advice, never goto bed angry. Ever. One cardinal rule, just always follow that.

I think your idea for decorating is great. At my daughters reception we had colored tablecloths with a 12 inch square mirror in the center of the table with flowers on the mirror. Other than that we just had pictures of her and her husband in their childhood years around the room. It was very simple but elegant. Many people commented on how beautiful it was.
