Don't get bad credit.  But if you do, it takes time.  Pay off your credit cards each month, pay your bills on time, keep all your accounts in good standing - all those things help to turn bad credit around.  Since credit history is part of a credit score though, it does take time to get it from bad to really good.

Look at your credit report, sometimes there are wrong things on your report. I had to dispute some things that were on my report,and they were taken off. You're entitled to one free credit report each year from all 3 credit reporting agencies-TRANSUNION, EQUIFAX and EXPERIAN. You can also get a report if you were denied credit or a loan.

I am actually surprised no one has come on here yet and told you the best way to do this. What do I mean? Why not just pray and ask God to fix it for you? I have read hundreds of posts from our religious members about things similar to this and that answer usually comes up at some point. If he can 'deliver' food, money, housing, cure cancers, turn gays straight, and all the other things I have seen people repeatedly claim he has done for them, why not just go the direct route, 'straight to the top' so to speak?

Correct. Unfortunately you can't jump from bad-to-good in a few days. You'll need to sort of distill the bad credit with your future good credit. And the best advice I can give? Don't be dumb with your money! THINK before you buy!

Funny story-- this guy I know recently asked me for 2000 dollars for his rent that's wayyyyy overdue. I said I couldn't (mainly because he hasn't paid my other friend back 500$ after 2+ years...) and he tells me "Oh that's okay. Btw I started going to church again this week!" and then tells me the reason all these bad things are happening to him is because of satan! Needless to say he does not really know my stance on that, but I'm pretty sure you can see the major reason why he went back though. What a more ripe place to take advantage of the naive. What a leech.

I was in the same situation actually I should say I still am I was so far in debt with medical bills .  We tried hard to pay everything on time then my husband lost his job didn't help have 2 mortgages we finally decided to file for bankruptcy that was a life saver we will have bad credi for another 8 years but it was worth it. But to stay out of debt pay bills on time don't purchase things u don't need and budget credits cards aren't good also.

Have to eitther do Bankrupcy if it is way to bad and over extended, Or talk to your creditors like I do and get a major bill paid off every month tighten your belts no more entertainment till everything is paid. HOME PAID FIRST ALWAYS!!! Everything else will wait including cars I promise, u can miss a payment if you talk to them. But HOME FIRST!! TO MANY FORCLOSURES
