My thought counts
« on: November 09, 2010, 07:17:42 am »
So, I've been trying to do the mythoughtcounts surveys, and for the past four days, I get

"Error inititalizing user" each and every time I try to do it.

I've cleared cookies and tried different browsers, does anyone here have any ideas?

I just tried My Thought Counts and had no problem getting the first page, country request and into the first survey.  At what point are you getting the "problem" message?  Does it happen on any of the other survey sites?

Have you taken/completed an OTX survey in the last 24 hours?
MTC is primarily and OTX survey provider and OTX clearly limits you to 1 survey every 24 hrs from all sources/sites.  (Tho if the message is coming before you get to the first page, that's not the issue.)

You should send in a TT to support to see if they can help you with this -- give them your systems specs and as much info as you can.

It doesn't even get to the select country part.

Just in red text, Error initializing user.

Nothing else can be selected.

hmm... that is odd! I've also never had any trouble with the mythoughtcounts survey, or have I ever seen that message! how strange! Have you submitted a ticket to admin yet? I would definitely let them know. I hope it gets worked out soon though.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.

I just submitted a ticket so we'll see what happens. I'm sure it's something silly on my end if it's working for everyone else.

That's weird, I just completed a MTC without a hitch.  Can you post the resolution if you find one?
