Replacing Tired Computer

I'm open for suggestions and help as I'm pretty computer illiterate...lol  I'm most likely going to Best Buy....I've had 3 different HPs over the years and they have been pretty good to me.  My current one is at least nine years old so it's time to give it a descent burial.  Has anyone ever gotten a Refurbished one from B B?  I see they have several with pretty good prices.  I would like more speed and I don't need a bunch of storage.  I put digital pics on now and then but try to get them off on CDs to keep.  Other than that my computer use is mostly surveys & stuff.  Any help would be great....Thanks, in advance
