We should compile a list of good mystery shopping companies.

Unfortunately, I don't know any, hence why I think a list would be nice.

So far we have Ritter Associates. Has anyone tried them and are they a good place to do this?

Two words, Eddy Salomon, google him

I did mystery shopping many, many years ago and got paid, but I don't remember the name of it.  When I  retired recently, I checked into some of them, but they all want money up front.  Not a good idea!!!  And never, never, never deposit a check for thousands of dollars that you don't expect or know what it's for.  You will be the one that pays!!  There is an old saying - it it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

I've got some info you guys will like! NO MONEY UP FRONT!! If a company asks for money or sends you "checks" to shop with they are not legit!  I signed up for a couple of companies that my MIL has been using and I've made about $150---not much but I haven't put much effort into it, just do a couple shops here and there. Go to Corporate Research International...this is the first company I signed up with. They pay weekly, direct deposit or PayPal..Most shops take less than an hour. It's not amazing amounts of money but it's easy. Another one I just signed up with is Market Force Research. They do a lot of fast food, which means free meals! And Certified Field Associates is another that does merchandising in stores- like restocking DVDs at the grocery store, checking toy displays etc- and movie theater checks. They pay monthly. There are legitimate companies out there that don't charge you to work so don't get sucked in by those that do! If a shop requires a purchase, it's out of your pocket BUT they reimburse you up to a certain amount and they'll tell you how much up front. Good luck guys!
