You know, I wish it could be that way too, but its not going to be, because people are cruel. (not ALL people!) I have actually been lucky to find a great neighborhood, with wonderful people. They help out and watch out for your house if your away. They'll take care of your pets, grab your trash can if the wind blows it away, lol..... I hope you find it though.... Most wish it was a much safer and nicer world.  People are inherently kind and supportive but it's the ones that are evil and cruel that take center stage.  All I can do in this life is contribute in the positive ways that I do and hope that it rubs off on one of those "not so nice" people in my world.

Keep being positive and it will make your life better.

Very Well Said. I am noticing the same thing. It seems like people are getting meaner as time goes on. Things have been hard for our family financially the last couple of years but I am kind and courteous to others I wish others would do the same. It is sad that when things are not going right in our lives that we feel the need to take that frustration out on those around us. This forum has really put a smile on my face since I joined though, everyone really tries to help each other and is very supportive. Fusion Cash is a blessing in more ways than just earning money.

were new here in our place for ike 5 mos. and i can say my neighbors are friendly, they welcomed us gladly. and one time we went out of time, he get our trash out for disposable so we wont missed it.....lol

To me I always consider it to be a blessing when people go out there way and show love. I am a very loving and giving person. I have been this way all my life. I love people and enjoy life. Even when life seems not to be enjoyable at times. I look back and remember all the wonderful things that God has bless me with and done for me. I cant ask for more. God has always done his part. Even when I struggle to do mine.

I hear ya!  If people would stop putting people in catagories and just accept a person for being a person and not a color or race it would help.  Not all people are haters.  Problem is no one has morals anymore (not everyone I mean)  and just plain doesn't care.  I give anyone and everyone a chance.  We must help each other I agree.

The person you describe is weak and selfish, not GOOD, or even "good"! What you're basically saying is that it's inevitable that people become brutes in bad times.  For God's sake, there were people in *bleep* death camps who shared their only crust of bread with a starving fellow prisoner. True, there weren't many folks like that, but you can't say they don't exist. Why don't these "good" people who feel they have been "driven to the edge" consider doing something constructive to help themselves and their country get back on their feet. Maybe something like VOTING OUT politicians who want to continue meaningless, expensive wars, tax cuts for the super-rich, and for corporations who offshore our jobs??? VOTING IN people who put the health and well being of Americans ahead of their rich friends' pocketbooks? On a more local level, contribute to a food bank, if you can, hold a door open for someone, listen to someone's problems. If everyone does this, we can stop our descent into our self-created hell.

Well, I would have not put it exactly like that. Lol. But I completely agree if we all just do our part to like you said and go that extra mile to put others first our country can definitely be turned around. I would like to see more celebrities spend more of their money helping the American homeless and poverty stricken then going overseas all the time and there are plenty of children here in the U.S that are homeless or foster care. There are plenty of people here at home to help too. I watched a documentary on the homeless here in California down in Downtown L.A. and I cried through the whole thing. With a country like ours it blows my mind at how we all turn from helping the most needy in our country.

I feel the same way, but I figured that it was because I am getting old.  You know how old people say, well in my day it wasn't like this!  But really, I feel as though I should have grown up in the 40's.  I see movies from that time period and I listen to Sirius radio 40's channel and I just get the feeling that people were more decent then and things made more sense.  I would have fit in then, but in today's world I feel like an oddball.

I have a very good friend that used to always say that to me.  I was a manager and always tried to give people second chances and give them the benefit of the doubt and very often I would wind up regretting it.  She would always say, "people mistake your kindness for weakness."  It was always hurtful when they didn't appreciate the second chance.
