Boyfriend of 4 years verbally abussive and verbally threatning. Left two other times but it was in a shelter in the same hometown that we lived in so i couldn't get around the town without him catching up to me and persuading me to return. Have child together age 3 years. This is 3rd time I left with this child but I went to a totally different town. I don't want my daughter to grow up thinking a man can treat her that way,but i don't want her to get the idea that you always run away from problems, i am not running away from my problems i am leaving the problem before i get seriously injured. what do you think

Your not running away, your being smart. Why anyone would stay in an abusive relationship is mind boggling to me.

sounds like you have done a very brave thing and you are saving your life and that of your daughter.
NO ONE should be treated like this -- you are not "running away" but you are doing the right thing!
