I'm not trying to resurrect an old topic here.  I just wanted to post this.  The author of the original blog about her son's Halloween costume has posted an update.  Here is the link for those who are interested.

TBH, the first thing I wondered after reading the update was: which of those women (ABC) were having sex with either the pastor or the Elders.  Horrible thought, I know, but it just popped up.  How else would those women hold such sway over an event that is otherwise "he said, she said" and no names were named.  (Although I'm sure that there are plenty of other, more innocent reasons...)

Those women should be shamed for their intolerance and lack of common sense.  I noticed on the original blog, one of the readers posted the best point about how children learn such negative characteristics from adults (although I don't know if she meant to):

It sounds like you have a wonderfully special little boy, and you are a wonderful Mom! As I read this post, my 3-year-old saw the picture (of the fabulous Daphne costume, seriously, he looks awesome), and the first thing he said was “that boy’s sitting on a pumpkin”. It always makes me smile when I’m reminded to focus on the important things by my toddler :).

That is a wise toddler.

He's still your son!  Always support and love your son no matter what decisions he makes for himself.  Sometimes life doesn't always turn out the way you pictured it would for him, but just know your kids are the most important thing in life.  They need to be loved no matter what!  Your son is going to be who he wants to be no matter what kind of support he gets from his family, but if it were me I'd rather him be apart of my life and to support him than for him to be afraid to come home and I never see him. ;)

Not to be snarky, but did you read either of the articles?  You completely missed the point if you didn't.

Wow, just because he dressed as Daphne does not mean he will grow up to be gay; it just means he likes Scooby Doo!
