If there are any of the non-reserveable campsites left, my husband and I will go to the sate park nearby and relax.

If they are all taken, we plan to drive to the "Iowa Great Lakes" region - Lake Okoboji area - and spend the day there.

I'm working which I don't mind because I get time and 1/2 and I will be working a lot of hours that day.  I complained before when I worked the holidays because I didn't get many hours so now I will be getting more money.

All the usual....BBQ, fireworks, homemade ice cream, putting out the flag, maybe watching the parade downtown, sing the Star Spangled Banner until I cry, pray an extra blessing for our soldiers, dance with a sparkler, gather with friends and family, and thank God I'm an American and still free!!  HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY EVERYONE

The kids and I went to watch the fireworks - I think I enjoy watching their little faces more!  It was a "blast" !!!!!!!
