Fathers Day
« on: June 20, 2010, 08:49:28 am »
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!
I have a serious question for you, it's not a happy one, sorry. Do any of you have a son that you raised well, worked hard to give everything he needed, loved more than anyone or anything, then have that son grow up, give you grandchildren that you love, then take anything he can from you, money, etc, with no intention of ever paying you back even if you have no food or heat, refuse to let you see your grandkids,  treat you like a dog and in general show you that he never loved you at all?  How can a good boy turn into such a bad man? My husband's son did and we are sick about it. I guess some love really does hurt.

So Sorry To Hear That.  I am not a parent, but it hurts to think this happens.  In this world, what's really worth holding onto is FAMILY  .
When you're injured or "down", material things will not be there to HUG YOU  .

My brother is like that. He's 26 and has no job and depends on other's to take care of his kids. He rarely brings them to see my mother but he sure calls and wants stuff all the time. My brother's father is currently on life support and the family has decided to turn everything off thursday and his own son has not even gone to see him. His other brother is at the hospital right now. It's sad that my brother cannot put his own dying father above himself to go and tell him he loves him before he passes away.

Thank you all for letting me vent and for the encouragement I received.  There's too many sad stories out there for it to be right - which these kids need to be told it isn't! I pray that only good blessings come to you all.
