Do you like to plant flowers? If so what kinds?

I like anything colorful. I have been trying to plant more perriniels. It costs less in the long run.

I plant petunias in my whiskey barrels in the front of the house.

I Love all flowers.  I have 2 Hibiscus in pots out front along with a fuschia with multiple colorful flowers... I also have small dahlias, gerbera daisies, new guinea impatiens, vincas, marigolds .... and quite a few others.... I like lots of colors.  I also have planted tomatoes, peppers an herbs.

I love the IDEA of gardening unfortunately I know nothing about how to go about it. One would think you just stick seeds in the ground and add water and there you go but It don't happen for me lol I need major help I think gardening is my kryptonite lol

I use to be a master gardener at a miniature golf place so I planted tons of stuff over the years. My favorites are impatiens because thay always performed well for me.

  I love to plant impatiens, verbena, pansies, peonies, poppies.  Actually, I love just about all flowers, just don't have the talent to do too well with them!  They have to pretty much be the kind that take care of themselves!!

I try to have a large perennial bed.  Sweet William (like a giant dianthus or carnation) Mexican Sunflowers (Ganzia), Hollyhocks, delphinium and always add something each year to see what takes.  That way I seem always to have something blooming.

Roses, however, are my favorite and just had my first successful blooms here at our new home after trying for many years in the CO mountains where they don't do worth a darn.

  I had to quit growing impatiens for awhile - the ducks kept eating them!  I tried geraniums and I guess they were too bitter for the ducks, so they left them alone.  Now that we've moved to the country, I can try the impatiens again!

I love to grow sun flowers.  They are so large and pretty to look at.
