I don't have kids, but I have helped raise my niece and nephew.  my nephew had the hardest time getting trained, but my niece took to it pretty easy.  I've heard that girls usually are easier to get trained than boys, lol.

My parents had the perfect way of potty training me. One weekend, my dad showed me what to do. Then when I had to go to the bathroom and used the potty, I'd get to drink a big glass of soda (a sugary treat that I normally would not get; sort of like your candy). But because the soda was liquid and also usually contained caffeine (a diuretic) I'd have to go the the bathroom sooner than I normally would, so it would give me more practices and more positive reinforcement. By the end of the weekend, I was pretty much potty trained!

that soda thing sounds like a good idea! :)
I have a 2 year old (will be 3 in July) and he is inconsistent with the potty,..... but he is starting to get a bit bigger!

I am trying to potty train my daughter. She just turned 2 years years old. She loves to wear the potty training pants with the princess print on them. She usually goes when her sister is in the bathroom with her. I think it gives her a confidience boost. When she goes potty everyone at the house does the potty song and dance. Woo Hoo!

I am having trouble potty training my youngest. He says it is too scary. We are trying to get him used to sitting on it for now. He won't sit with his pants off, so he gets candy just when he sits on it. At daycare he gets stickers. If anyone has any tips on potty training a boy, I could use them! My oldest was hard to potty train too. They both showed interest, would want to come in while I was going, but I could not and can not get them to sit with their pants down. It is so frustrating!
