Suggestions on getting referrals?

I'm struggling with getting referrals right now, just wondering what your guys' tips are or how you get referrals.  I'm pretty new to this site and free offer sites and I know referrals is the best way to make money.  So just post the suggestions you have.

Tell all your family and friends about it. They might be hesitant at first but once you show them your proof of payment they will more than likely jump right in

I've gotten suggestions like post your banner in your signature everywhere you visit online, make yourself a website (blog or splash page works too) describing your experience with the site and referring people, join areas where people are already looking for ways to make money - just convince people it's not a scam. Take a picture of your first check and post it online or your earnings banner - anything so people can trust that it's not a scam and they will get paid / don't have to pay money.

Feel free to sneak it into conversations too, if you can, online and off.

I've also seen suggestions like leave your business card / site address on bulletin boards and post in papers under the employment heading and such.

other forums are key, especially forums with gaming. Try runescape, world of warcraft forums and such. Make a really nice lookin' message then look up all the players on the site and just copy and paste the played into the people who you want to send the message to. So, you end up sending a great message to lots of people on forums absolutely free. You really got to make it look good, easy and trustworthy too. Use videos, blogs, pictures from the site as proof that this site owns.
