Winter Storm Warning is over....we have a LOT of wet snow on the ground.
I don't know how much snow we got starting this morning, but when I went out to blow off the driveway, it took almost two hours.....the snow was so wet and heavy that it would plug the blower spout. I had to do a fair amount of shoveling by hand.
I imagine I will need to go back outside and give the driveway another go so that it is clear for me in the morning since I have to be at work by 7am. Better now, than tomorrow morning.

Jkhanson, wow can I ask where you live? I'm in PA and we might see a few snow showers, but that's all.

We had pretty mild weather here in Michigan (in the 60's) but the temperature is expected to drop next week. The only thing I hate more than really hot weather is cold weather.

We got a small snow storm, in Denver, on Thursday...maybe an inch and a half of snow. The problem is that it was in the seventies the day before so the snow was initially melting. Then the temperatures dropped down into the 'teens so the moist streets turned into ice. Lots of accidents. I drive an old jeep and have not put my hard top or doors on yet which has made for quite a chilly drive the last few days. On Thursday I was too lazy to lock my hubs so I drove four miles home with rear wheel drive...fish tailing almost the whole way home. We get over three hundred and twenty beautiful days in Denver so I really did not like the thought of putting my roof on. I have off for the next eight days and have roof/door placement on my list of things to do.

I live in Florida as well. We might get flurries every 10 years but it melts before it really can stick.

Here in Texas some cold air has finally pushed its way into our area. Our weather has been unseasonably warm for fall for so long that this cold air is a jolt to me. I can't stand it! It's only in the 50s now and sunny, too. Elsewhere most folks would laugh at that temperature, but we've had it so warm recently (as high as 80 degrees) that our lawns are as green as they are in summertime.

I don't want to think about snow.... :P

We don't have the threat of snow yet here but it is supposed to get really cold this week so I'm sure it's on it's way. :snowman:

It should be raining where I'm at soon.

We got a little bit of snow for the first time today. It certainly wasn't much but it was kind of nice to see the first snow :)
-
Thank goodness we don't have snow like that.

Hi Nancy5,
I live in the southwestern corner of Minnesota right off I-90. I am about 30 miles from Sioux Falls, SD and roughly 15 miles to the Iowa border.

We have had an unusually warm fall too so getting dumped on with the WINTER WARNING and my guess of
5-8" of snow was quite a jolt for me too! Earlier this week, we had temps in the 60s. Today, it is low 30s.
The sun is out and is melting the snow even though the air temperature is Cold.

No snow here. Maybe light snow every 5 to 7 years. Not enough to build a snowman. That's fine with me. It's pretty but I hate cold weather.
-
It was 70 in the afternoon today. I heard we're supposed to get a cold snowy winter. I hate winter am not looking forward to it at all.
-
it was cold but no snow came in illinois

I live right outside of Boston, and we didn't see a flake. Or if we did, it was late last night while I was fast asleep and melted by morning. Parts of New Jersey (where I used to live) got some pretty decent snowfall, northern got around 6 inches from what I heard. I am anxiously awaiting the first snowfall of the season here in Massachusetts, though!
-
We got our first snow of the season a few days ago. Not much, just a dusting, but it was nice to see.
-
Our snow has been melting. Even though the temperature has been cold, the sun has still had power. We've had rain the last days, so more snow melted from the rain. It is 33 degrees out now.

Live in Georgia and really do not care for snow.
-
Ah keep them there I don't like snow especially driving in the snow. Perhaps I shouldn't say that because I am supposed to be grateful.!!

Last Saturday, we woke up to serious, fierce winds, and a smidgeion of snow....smidgeon, as in a light dusting which melted quickly.
The winds made up for it. Although my daughter and I went out in the 35 degree weather, it was 18 degrees windchill!
Hope we get more soon. the bare trees need some brightening up here in WI.
