Have you guys seen the Trailer. I love western movies. I grew up watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Now I am excited for this one. I wonder if it's the same story behind the old magnificent 7.

I loved the original "Magnificent 7" with the late, great Yul Brynner. I hope Hollywood didn't go all PC with this new one, but anything with Denzel Washington in it can't go too far wrong. :)

Have not see or heard about a movie with Denzel, but I cannot wait to see it. Thanks for the heads up

The old original was a work of art. Yul Brynner was a unique man.
When they try to re-capture a classic, it usually goes south.
Personally, I would love to see the old original on tv. The music itself stirs up memories.

"The music itself stirs up memories." So true, adriarobi! The music to the original "Magnificent Seven" was awesome! It was composed by the hugely talented Elmer Bernstein, who also wrote the beautiful music for "The Ten Commandments" (the one with Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner).

I have seen the trailer of "The Magnificent 7 (2016)" with Denzel Washington and it looks as though it will be a great movie to see. I love movies with action and adventure. It appears to have both, can't wait until this Fall to see it. :)

hard to match original movie

But I think any movie with Denzel in it will be great! Just like Remember the Titans.

I hate remakes in general, because it just seems like an insult to the original actors. If they are good actors, they almost BECOME the character they play, and so no one else can be that character. So by redoing the movie, it's like saying the actors didn't do a good enough job. Also, the quality just is never the same. Certainly nothing can beat the original for an iconic movie like The Magnificent Seven. I've only seen Denzel Washington in one movie, and I guess he's an OK actor, but I'm sure he can't beat Yul Brynner or Steve McQueen.
