I was never very fond of tattoos myself.  I could never understand the motivation to get them.  That's not meant to be judgmental -- they just aren't for me.  My older daughter has several of them.  She first was only going to get one; which turned into 2 and then 4.   I am not sure how many she has now.  Most are hidden, but she has one on her hand and another on her wrist.

It doesn't make me love her any less, but I do wish she had not gotten them.  Maybe you can help me to understand by talking about what your motivation is?  And what makes you decide that it is time for a new one/how do you know that you are done/satisfied and don't have the need for more?  I am asking out of legitimate curiosity simply because my daughter has said at least 3 or 4 times that each one was her last.  Do you do that also, or do you already intend to get another before the current one is complete?

To be fair, I suppose I can talk a bit about why I don't particularly like them.  I guess they just seem so permanent. I know that there are expensive and painful removal options.  But just from a body image standpoint, in my mind there is no going back if you later change your mind ==> not like a changed hairstyle or color or a change in clothing style, etc.

Again, not intended to come across judgmental.  I have seen some admittedly beautiful tattoos and many truly are works of art.  I guess I just prefer my art on a canvas rather than a body.

Best of luck to you.

I have a few.

As for the other poster that commented, I'm not sure why you are saying "Best of luck" - the OP just asked how many, not why or why you don't.

With that said, there are a few that I wish I would have gotten in less obvious places, but I have no plans on getting them removed.

I was just trying to be friendly, and was trying to engage the OP in some dialog so that I could understand a bit better where he/she is coming from -- that's all.  The OP also asked if we like tattoos or not...

I don't have anything against them but I wouldn't put one on personally.

No tattoos...  I did contemplate getting them in my youth.  I am thankfully that I did not, but really wouldn't have minded if I did; because my then self is not the same as my today self, and wouldn't be my lifestyle now.

Currenty, I am seriously contemplating permanent makeup, which is tattoos... although they state permanent, I know that it fades away.

I dont have any. I have health issues and have to get MRIs a lot so it is best to not have tattoos in those circumstances. Also, i could never commit to something for that long, lol. My husband has quite a few, some are cool, others I wish he had thought about first!

I have four they are all covered up, I've alwayed told my children when they move out of my house and decide to get tats only to get ones you can cover up because if they want a professional job people aren't going to hire with visible tats.

I guess too each his own. I myself have never wanted one nor will I ever get one.  My great nieces seem to try  to compete with each other on getting some.  And they are such beautiful girls I don't know why they want to disfigure them themselves along with the  piercings.  I often wonder what the tattoos will look like  once they get into their 60"s- 70's when the skin starts to thin and sag  some. I have some older friends who have had them and now that they are older they can't afford to get rid of them,

I like tattoos, however, I do not believe I have the intestinal fortitude to actually acquire one. I can barely get through getting my blood drawn without screaming and winching like a little girl, LOL.

I just have one, which is 10 years old already. I've thought about getting more but I don't know what of or where to put them. Getting a tattoo should take a lot of thought. Took me a year just to decide on a shooting star, which I still like.

aside from the fact I hate needles, I don't know what I would get.  Why spend the money on something I may regret a few years later?

I have one tiny one on my ankle.  I designed it with my granddaughter's help :)  Probably won't get any others but who knows?  lol
I admire them on others so long as they're tasteful and not overwhelming.  When I look at the person I don't want my first thought to be: TATTOOS!  I want to see the person.

I like tattoos. I have three and I want to get one more for my kids. I am not sure what design I want to get yet and I need to check out some shops in my area.
