Try other therapies: Taking care of yourself, doing the things you like, go for a walk, visit new places, listen to good music...you will notice an improvement in your mental outlook.

Stop complaining about lack of Paid to Call offers and put more effort into other things on here and maybe you won't be so depressed. Learning the word AND might help you too  8) More drugs are not the answer for you :bad:

I suffer from depression. I don't take any medication. I am no fan of pills. Or any drug for that matter. I told my therapist that if they gave me meds I will not take them. every time I have had to take medicine for something I always got a reaction to it. So I stay away from medications.

I suffered from short-term depression a few years ago. At the time, I took Ativan, Zoloft, and Trazadone. I was reluctant to take any medication whatsoever, but I eventually began to see slight changes in my mind. Thankfully, I am no longer depressed. A little sad on occasion, but I do not feel how I felt during that time.

Yes, I've had depression most of my life. A lot of people do. I take no pills.

I am depressed every day - I have moments where I don't feel depressed but most of the day every day I would say I am depressed. I have especially been depressed for the past three years since my husband of 34 years died but to be honest looking back I probably have had a lot of periods of depression in my life. I don't take anything because between heart medicines and pain medicine I am afraid to add anything to it. I did try wellbutrin years ago but it made me feel funny and so I quit taking it.

I was on zoloft for a while but I didn't like the way it was making me feel. I wasn't sad but I wasn't happy either, just kind of numb. I'm certainly not anti medication but I just find they don't work for me. Exercise has been great for me. My worst was 2011-2012 where I was barely sleeping, gained about 20 lbs, and dyeing my hair black (which was a pain to grow out). Adding back exercise and tweaking my diet have helped my depression tremedously. Not that I don't still have moments where I don't sleep well and generally just feel bad. I just handle it better now.

Depression is something that comes in goes, something that everyone will expereince. Please excuse my spelling I am have learniing disabiliities, and sometimes, I do not give a damn about fixing them.
Just dealing with Admin is frustrating enough.
there are of course drugs you can take, but as a person with a degree in food Science and Human nutrition, not working n my field now, I can tell you there are many food stuffs and herbs which are natural mood helpers.
Of course caffiene, protien , walking etc.
My Mom was a pharmasist, and most docs will prescribe drugs you do not need, just to earn $$ kickbacks from the drug salesman.
Best bet, find a whoelistic doctor, personally I just look online as to a search for natural depression relievers, which will pull up a list, and then look thru the list and the side effects.
No money to be maid, in that, but sometimes you hear people say, a cuppa meaning Tea is what will fix your ills and there are all kinds of Tea, that will. :rose:
