Title: Internet Explorer & AMP Surveys & Fusion Cash Surveys
Post by: BlackSheepNY on December 04, 2013, 12:41:59 pm
OK, this is really getting old, fast.

I quit using Firefox because I was having problems with the AMP Surveys crediting to my account.  So I started using Internet Explorer.  There are ZERO add-ons to this hunka-hunka-burnin' caca (IE), and it worked for about a week, LOL.  I was able to complete AMP Surveys AND get credited.  Now, for the past couple of days, AMP Surveys no longer fill in.  The hour glass just keeps on goin' like the Energizer Bunny and it never does go anywhere.  I also tried to get to one of the Fusion Cash Surveys today, that being, "Big Purchase Item Study."  Once again, the hour glass just keeps on spinning and it never goes anywhere.  I close the window and try again, then I get the message, "You've already participated in this survey" when I actually couldn't even open the page.

Seriously, I'm going a little nuts here.  Nothing's working and I don't know which browser to use anymore.  :(

What operating system are you using?

I had a problem with a different site where I couldn't log in -- got the spiral loading icon.  (Happened on 2 sites actually)

The first site told me, when I mentioned I was using Window XP, that their system will no longer be accessible with XP.  Since Microsoft was no longer supporting XP starting in April 2014, any site that requires good security would probably not allow the site to be used with Windows XP.

When I had a similar problem with another site, I asked them whether they had made similar changes for XP computers.  They said no, but the problem may be related to my browser:  I should 1) try another browser and 2) make sure my browsers are up to date.

I was successful using Chrome.  Still had problems with Firefox.  At that time, they suggested I clear my cookies since it is possible that the Adobe Flash that might have been saved in the cookies for their site might have been corrupted.
So I cleared my cookies (with CCleaner) and tried again.  Still not successful get the site to load with Window XP and Firefox.

I can load the sites using Firefox on my Windows 7 laptop.

Why don't you like Chrome?

We've switched back from AMP to MyThoughtCounts.  In theory there should be no real difference between the two (same surveys on the backend, just the very first page is different).  But MTC seems to work better for some reason.

Yeah, it actually does work better because I completed a "MyThoughtCounts" survey on 12-5 and got credit for it, too!  Thanks, Admin!  I don't know what was wrong with the AMP page, but this one is so much better!

PS:  For "swogden," - My OS is Windows 8.1, and it's not that I don't like Chrome, it's just that I really don't want any more browsers than I need.  If it was up to me, I'd lose IE if I could, LOL.

Ever since I downloaded internet explorer 11, I have been having every problem with my computer under the sun.
It seems like when one things starts to work correct again, then it's something else this includes problems with
fusion cash. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
