Title: are you going or staying on new years
Post by: aggie49 on December 28, 2012, 10:10:20 am: we will be at home my man has to work new years eve and new years day so i will be at home wacthing the ball drop but for those who will be going out stay safe

Post by: de3ik on December 28, 2012, 11:21:07 am: An elder at my church wanted me to come here him preach on New Years eve. It would be nice to do so, but right now it depends on our health if we can go out that night. Lately we have been sick, so I might have to stay home and watch the ball drop.

It is just a day for relaxing and start getting ready for a new Year. Also like to call my friends out of town. A couple of them have been very ill and 1 lost her husband a couple of months ago. It is the only way i can visit with them right now and all the money i would have spent going out i can use on phone calls instead.

Post by: plennis on December 28, 2012, 03:14:07 pm: Everybody in the family has a cold right now. So we will probably watch New Year's come in in Europe, have a nice dinner and then early to bed to rest up. Hopefully by then we will all be filling a lot better.

I have to move New Years day. so i am staying in new years eve

That sounds like fun!! Especially the dinner on New Years Day at your aunt's! Not the crazieness of some of the other holidays and what a great way to start the new year with family!

This topic has got me thinking . . . I have spent many years at home but this year I think I will book a special place in a park and enjoy hiking then curling up with the love of my life and champagne toast for the new year and gourmet picnic at midnight!

Post by: workmama on December 29, 2012, 01:36:58 pm: I will probably be at home sitting with my family. It's suspose to snow here on New Year's, so if it does, I will probably want to go outside and make a snow man with my son and some snow angels....lol

Other than that, probably doing nothing. Maybe if I am lucky, I can sleep in or cuddle with my husband while watching a great family movie with popcorn and some ice cold Pepsi!! ;)

I will stay at home also for the most part, some family is coming over as well, so we'll have a nice little dinner and a good time.
